my dear friend and colleague christian muthspiel again brought out a little master piece of music. who is aware of the compositions of the great werner pirchner and harry pepl (both already passed away) will love this cd- on the one hand it shows a great love & deep respect for their work, and on the other side- at the same time- it demonstrates an outstanding individual expression and incredible creative approach to this music- great arrangements, wonderful flow & passionate playing- above all, there are three musicians who have found each other. georg breinschmid on doublebass, franck tortiller on vibes, and christian muthspiel on trombone & piano. what a hell of a trio!
at the moment my absolute favourite album.
